The Rufous-browed Peppershrike is part of the Vireo family and is quite common in the Ibera Marshes.

It is an attractively marked medium sized passerine with a brown crown, rufous supercilium and grey cheeks and throat. The eyes are distinctive with an orangish iris and the strong bill is shrike-like with a hook on the end.

The breast is yellow and the belly white. Upperparts are olive green and it has a long yellowish tail.

It feeds on inseccts and spiders.
