Tigrisoma lineatum
This medium sized heron is relatively common at Reserva Don Luis although it is very shy.
It measures between 60-65 cm, has a rufous head and back with finely barred grey wings and tail. It has a pale breast and belly with uneven dark lines running down it. The bill is long, pointed and black with a yellow cere. Legs are long and greyish.
