Columbina talpacoti
The Ruddy Ground-Dove is uncommon at Reserva Don Luis but we do see it most years.
It is a similar size (15cm), to the Pucui Ground-Dove but much darker in appearance. It is quite rufous in appearance with a grey head and dark streaks on the wings.
The female is a more uniform colour and lacks the rufous back and grey head.
