Ammodramus humeralis
We have many Grassland Sparrows here at Reserva Don Luis during the summer. Â The distinctive metallic call is reminiscent of this time of year. Â
It is very confiding in nature and one can get quite close.
It has pale underparts with brown and cinnamon back and wings. Â The tail is often erect especially when calling. Â It has a long white supercilium which starts off bright yellow. Â It also has a yellow mark on the upper coverts.
