This small passerine from the family Parulidae is found in every wood at Reserva Don Luis.

It measures 12 cm and has a distinctive call.  Upperparts are olive, underparts are yellow and it has a white superciluim with black stripe above the eye.  It also has an orange crown which is normally concealed.

It is quite confiding in nature.
