The male Cinereous Harrier slightly resembles the european Hen Harrier.  We have a pair at the reserve but they are not common.

The male has pale underparts with cinnamon barring.  The underwings are pale grey with black remiges and the tail is barred grey and black.  Upperparts are predominantly grey .

The female is predominantly brown with a darker chest.
