Sporophila bouvreuil
The Capped seedeater is one of many Sporophila species that are in and around the Ibera Marshes. We first saw this species in the south of the reserve in 2016.
It measures about 9cm, has a black cap and white throat and underparts. The back and wings are brown and it has a typical seedeater bill.
As is usual with the female Sporophilas, they are much plainer.
