Sporophila bouvreuil
The Capped seedeater is one of many Sporophila species that are in and around the Ibera Marshes. Â We first saw this species in the south of the reserve in 2016.
It measures about 9cm, has a black cap and white throat and underparts. Â The back and wings are brown and it has a typical seedeater bill.
As is usual with the female Sporophilas, they are much plainer.
