Protect the bat species of Reserva Don Luis
Your donations will support vital bat research in Corrientes and Misiones, funding essential equipment, travel, and operational costs.
About Campaign
The Collett Trust Bat Team carries out most of the vital bat research in the provinces of Corrientes and Misiones and we are learning a lot about chiroptera in our area.
We have identified in hand 15 species of bat at the reserve with one pending confirmation, and one identified acoustically. We also place our static ultrasonic recorders around the woodlands in order to record and identify our echolocating bats. We use radio tracking devices to track tagged bats and discover where they hunt and where they roost.
Our team surveys for bats over a large area and incurs many costs including static recorders ($1000 USD each), nets, poles, harp traps ($3000 USD), radio transmitters ($200 USD each), antenna & receiver ($2000 USD)

Join Our Mission
Our mission is to preserve and protect the diverse habitats of endangered species, with a focus on the North East Argentina region, particularly the Esteros del Iberá wetlands. By acquiring and managing private land, we aim to conserve this vital ecosystem, home to over 330 species of birds and numerous threatened mammals. We are dedicated to ongoing research, reintroduction projects, and the expansion of our reserve to ensure the survival of these species. We seek support through donations, volunteer work, and collaborations with conservationists and biologists to further our efforts in safeguarding this unique and precious environment.
