Agelaioides badius
The Bay-winged Cowbird is occasionally seen at Reserva Don Luis in small flocks but is not common here like the Shiny Cowbird. Most noticeable about this species is the call which is quite musical and a chorus of these birds singing is very pleasant. The Argentine name is Tordo Musico and they are considered common throughout the country with the exception of the far south.
This species has a pale grey head and underparts with a black pointed bill and black lores. It measures about 18cm and from behind looks like a large sparrow.
The upperparts are brown and black with rufous primaries. The tail is predominantly black
