Parabuteo unicinctus
The Bay-winged Hawk is quite a large Hawk at 45cm for the male and 55cm for the famale. Â It is found throughout Argentina but is not considered common.
Back and wings are predominantly black with rufous shoulders and rufous feathered thighs. Â Rump and tip of tail white. Â It has a large bill with extensive yellow cere.
The above photo is of a juvenile. The one below is of an adult.
