These Tanagers are common in Reserva Don Luis and are partial to our fruit trees. They are a member of the Thraupidae family and are widespread and quite common.

Measuring about 15cm in length, they are an overall greyish blue with brighter blue/green wings.

Primarily a fruit eater, they will also consume arthropods and other medium sized insects. Whenever we put fruit out on the bird table, they appear quite quickly.
