The Rufous-sided Crake is relatively common at Reserva Don Luis. We often hear it calling around the water bodies but rarely see it. We are much more likely to see the Ash-throated Crake.

It has white underparts with rufous sides and barred flanks. Undertail coverts are rufous and the legs are olive coloured.
