Cyanocorax chrysops
This vocal, striking looking bird is normally associated with Misiones, our neighbouring province. However we see them in the woodlands along the banks of the River Parana. We have not yet seen this species at our reserve.
It is a large gregarious Magpie type bird with a long tail that has a pale tip.
It has dark upperparts and chest with a pale yellow belly and unusual blue markings on the eyebrow and nape.
