We caught this beautiful frugivorous bat in our Harp trap in Sept. 2017 at Reserva Don Luis.  It is adapted to hunt in cluttered environments therefore has wide curved wings to give it the lift it needs.

This is a medium/large stunning bat of around 25g from the family Phyllostomidae. It has white facial stripes and a dorsal stripe that runs from its crown to the base of the tail.

It roosts in holes in trees or in buildings.  We have come across this species in a garage and in an abandoned building in groups of between 4 & 6.
