Lepidocolaptes angustirostris
This Woodcreeper is seen in the woodlands of the Ibera marshes although it is not common in this area. Â
It is around 18cm in length with a long downcurved bill which it uses to pry insects out of the tree bark. Â Its wings and back are predominantly rufus in colour whilst the underparts are pale and striped. Â It has a striking pale supercilium and spotted crown.
The call is very distinctive and is a series of notes reducing in scale.
