Elaenia spectabilis
The large Elaenia is relatively common inhabitant of the Ibera marshes. Â It is similar to several other flycatchers and difficult to diferenciate other than by its call. Â It has a soft explosive whistle.
It measures around 16cm, has a brown head with a short crest and a white throat. Â Upper breast is grey and lower belly is yellow. Â The tail is long and the bill dark. Â It also has pale edgings to the coverts.
