Elaenia spectabilis
The large Elaenia is relatively common inhabitant of the Ibera marshes. It is similar to several other flycatchers and difficult to diferenciate other than by its call. It has a soft explosive whistle.
It measures around 16cm, has a brown head with a short crest and a white throat. Upper breast is grey and lower belly is yellow. The tail is long and the bill dark. It also has pale edgings to the coverts.
