Former Airline Captain of B747, Miranda Collett, switched career in 2010 to become a wildlife conservationist, purchasing a former cattle ranch in NE Argentina.

The House wren is very common and as its name implies it tends to associate with habited areas.  We have a pair of this species that nest in a bird box attached to our research cabin.

It has pale brown underparts and darker brown, barred, upperparts.  It has a long bill with dark eyes rimmed white.
