The Green-winged Saltator is seen at our reserve occasionally but seems to be increasing in numbers.  We saw it at our bird table in Sept. 2015 which is a first.

They are similar to the more common Grayish Saltator and differ only in call, length of supercilium and colour.

Underparts are greyish whereas back and wings are olive green.  It has a long white supercilium, white throat outlined with black lines either side and a thick dark bill.  It is a sizeable  passerine of 20cm in length.
