Molothrus oryzivorus
Although this species is occasionally seen in the north of Corrientes, it is more common in Missiones, especially in the north.
It is a veteran nest parasite of the Red-rumped Cacique and other Cacuques.
This is a large member of the family Icteridae which resembles the Shiny Cowbird but is much larger at 35cm. Â It is black all over with long legs and an orange iris.
Female is similar but with duller plumage and a brown iris.
