Mimus saturninus
The Chalk-browed Mockingbird is occasionally seen in the Ibera Marshes but is more common in private gardens.
It is a very gregarious bird with a wide range of calls, including many imitations of other birds. It is often seen perched on top of a tree calling loudly in spring.
Underparts are buffy or white and it has a long tail with partially white retrices. Upperparts are brownish with distinctive white wing bars.
The supercilium is wide and white and the eye has a black line running through it from the lores to well behind the eye.The rest of the head is brown.
This bird often cocks it tail up when alert.
