Megarhynchys pitangua
We have several Boat-billed Flycatchers at the reserve and they breed here although they seem to dissapear in the winter. Â They are similar to the Greater Kiskadee but for the bill which is very wide and heavy, hence the english name.
The chest is bright yellow and there is a concealed yellow crown. Â The head is black with a wide white supercilium. Â Back and wings are generally brown.
