We have several Boat-billed Flycatchers at the reserve and they breed here although they seem to dissapear in the winter.   They are similar to the Greater Kiskadee but for the bill which is very wide and heavy, hence the english name.

The chest is bright yellow and there is a concealed yellow crown.  The head is black with a wide white supercilium.  Back and wings are generally brown.
