Rynchops niger
We occasionally see the Black Skimmer in the Ibera Marshes. It is usually found in medium sized flocks sometimes with Terns.
It has a huge red bill with a black tip and resembles a Tern with its short red legs and long wings. It has a black cap, wings and upperparts with white underparts.
It feeds by skimming the surface of the water.
