This smart looking seedeater was seen at Reserva Don Luis in June 2014.  It is a member of the Emberizidae family and is considered uncommon.

It habitates grassland and wetland and as such is suited to our reserve.

This bird measures about 11cm and has bright white underparts.  The upperparts are plumbeous and it has a large seedeating bill of pale orange.  There is a white speculum on the wing.

This bird is known as Corbatita Blanco in Argentina.
