The Orange-headed Tanager is an attractive small passerine that is found in all our our small woodlands around Reserva Don Luis, including the one near the houses.

It makes a very distinctive sweeet call and is quite confident.

The most distinctive feature is its orange head with yellow throat.  It has buffy underparts with almost white belly and olive upperparts.
