We caught quite a few of these medium sized snakes whilst we were doing a reptile survey in 2014.

This snake is non-venemous but is quite often aggressive and will bite.

The back is brown/olive coloured and the front is alternating black and red bars.

The female is larger than the male and their habitat is wetlands or marshes.
