The Keeled Sepia Snake is found quite regularly at our reserve and in other wetlands.  It is predominantly brown with darker stripes and X markings along its scales.

It is a nocturnal species and its main food prey is amphibians.  It usually measures less than a metre in length – up to 60-70cm, when fully grown.

It belongs to the family Dipsadidae.
