The Brown & Yellow Marshbird is a member of the Icteridae family.  It is similar to the Yellow-rumped Marshbird but has less yellow.

It measures about 20cm and is usually found in flocks of up to 20.

We see it quite regularly around our reserve.  Upperparts are dark brown whereas underparts, including the underwing, are bright yellow.  There is also yellow on the shoulders.
