Day 1 of our project to locate the Ibera Seedeater, carry out bird ringing and later in season search for nests. 5 of us set off on horseback, which is the best way to get around Reserva Don Luis, to search for the Ibera Seedeater. We place coloured streamers where we see the birds and take GPS co-ordinates so we can more easily locate future nests.
